Skin is the largest organ in the human body .It is also the one which is most exposed to environmental factors like heat, wind, dust etc. As a result of all these factors, skin gets dried up or it can age faster. Other factors like pimples and many other skin problems also contribute to the ageing process. Everyone looks forward to have healthy glowing skin. Most of us use makeup products that are loaded with harsh chemicals to obtain this result. The chemicals present in several make up products do more harm than good for the skin. Research has found that the chemicals present in makeup products cause diseases like cancer and other skin diseases.

To prevent oneself from harmful diseases and to get healthy skin, one can use several natural tips. These tips are simple and also quite effective. They act as a shield and help in safeguarding the skin against dryness, chapped skin.

Limit Sun Exposure – It has been found that going out in the sun and exposing one’s skin to the harmful UV rays of the sun can cause cancer. It can also produce freckles, wrinkles, age spots, discolorations and other benign growths which can make the skin look dull and unhealthy. To prevent this, one should use sunscreen generously over the exposed areas especially when going out for extended periods of time. One should wear hats long sleeved clothes to provide minimum sun exposure. It is also a good idea to stay indoors when sun is at it its peak between 10 AM and 2 PM.

Drink More water – Human body is made of about 70% water. This water is essential for the smooth functioning of all the organs in the body. One should drink enough water to keep skin moist and hydrated. This can prevent dry skin and the onset of several diseases. Dry skin will have small gaps in the skin structure that can allow the entry of bacteria and fungus which can cause numerous diseases. One should also use good moisturizers and should take warm baths which should not last more than ten minutes.

Do not share items related to personal hygiene like lip balms, tooth brushes, soaps, towels etc with other people. Do not share drinks with others. Touching one’s face frequently with fingers should be avoided at all costs as it can lead to pimples. Do not pick at the splinters or cysts in the body.
